Born on June 13th, 1981, in Aibonito, PR, Alexi has a BA in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico and a Law Degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. He was a member of Homoerotica, a group of LGBTQ+ writers. In 2012, he moved to Miami where he served as a volunteer for SAVE Dade, Latinos Salud, and the non-profit Prevention305. He moved to San Juan, PR in 2017, has been a volunteer for the SEX Team since 2017, and attended the National HIV Prevention Conference in 2019 with a CDC Scholarship. He is a founding member of CAMPoz, a collective of artists living with HIV that use their art to educate and reduce stigma. He has served as a speaker for conferences related to HIV in both law schools in San Juan. Alexis serves as a community ambador for the CDC’s Let’s Stop HIV Together” campaign.
Nacido el 13 de junio de 1981 en Aibonito, PR, Alexi tiene un bachillerato en Contabilidad de la Universidad de Puerto Rico y una Licenciatura en Derecho de la Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico. Fue miembro de Homoerotica, un grupo de escritores LGBTQ+. En 2012, se mudó a Miami, donde se desempeñó como voluntario para SAVE Dade, Latinos Salud y la organización sin fines de lucro Prevention305. Se mudó a San Juan, PR en 2017, ha sido voluntario del equipo SEX desde 2017 y asistió a la Conferencia Nacional de Prevención del VIH en 2019 con una beca de CDC. Es miembro fundador de CAMPoz, un colectivo de artistas que viven con el VIH que utilizan su arte para educar y reducir el estigma. Se ha desempeñado como disertante en conferencias relacionadas con el VIH en ambas facultades de derecho en San Juan. Alexis se desempeña como embajador comunitario de la campaña “Detengamos Juntos el VIH” del CDC.
