Capacity Building Rooted in Community

NMAC’s Center to End the HIV Epidemic offers tailored technical assistance, capacity building, and leadership development services to organizations, institutions, and changemakers working at the intersection of health equity and systems change. Rooted in our commitment to addressing the syndemic drivers of poor health outcomes, our services are designed to strengthen community power, reimagine care infrastructures, and shift systems toward justice.

Center Mission: We work at the heart of public health transformation—Using storytelling, systems-thinking, and implementation science to reshape systems and advance health justice for communities with the poorest health outcomes.

The Power of Community Centered Storytelling

Stories of Power, Purpose, and Perseverance aims to reframe narratives, dismantle stigma, and create an artistic expression of lives beyond a diagnosis.

Every individual carries a story — a story of laughter, struggles, triumphs, and resilience. Whether navigating relationships, healthcare, employment, or societal expectations, these stories shape who we are and how we move through the world.

This storytelling initiative is a living archive of humanity, highlighting the voices of those impacted by HIV — whether living with the virus, loving someone who is, or advocating for change.

We are currently seeking sponsors to help convert this project into a full-length feature film. Interested in Sponsoring this project contact Sean Smith, Senior Director, The Center to End the HIV Epidemic, ssmith@nmac.org
