About The Goldens

The Goldens (English) is NMAC’s bilingual, short storytelling campaign that celebrates the journeys of people over 50 that are aging with HIV. Gathered on a rolling basis, each story will be shared on our Facebook and Instagram pages to increase HIV awareness among older adults. 

Each contributor must volunteer to share their experience by answering a series of seven questions in English or Español, along with a photo of their choice. There is no monetary exchange between NMAC and the contributor. 

Currently, the stories have been sourced from members of NMAC’s 50+ Strong and Healthy Program, NMAC’s National HIV & Aging Advocacy Network (NHAAN), and the 2025 USCHA Advisory Committees aligned with the theme of “Aging with HIV.”
