Linking and Integrating Networks for Collaboration (LINC)

NMAC’s Capacity Building division provides capacity building assistance to community-based organizations (CBOs) through the Linking and Integrating Networks for Collaboration (LINC) program. LINC CBA provides culturally relevant and expert programmatic, scientific, and technical advice (mentoring/coaching) and support to increase the knowledge, skills and abilities of the HIV pre-prevention workforce to advance the goals of community high impact prevention.

LINC helps CBOs foster collaboration and communication to improve coordination of HIP activities and improve innovation, thereby empowering CBOs to lead transformation within their organizations and communities. LINC CBA is provided through technical assistance, training,   information dissemination, and coaching/mentoring.

Accessing NMAC’s Capacity Building Program

 

LINC provides capacity building assistance to CBOs to improve and strengthen organizational infrastructure, interventions, strategies, monitoring and evaluation of HIV prevention services. NMAC provides CBA services under this cooperative agreement based on the funder’s, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC), Capacity Building Branch’s (CBB) funding priority:

  •  Directly funded – organizations that receive funds directly from the CDC can request CBA through the CBA Request Information System (CRIS)
  • Indirectly funded – organizations that receive funds from health departments directly-funded by the CDC can ask the health department in their jurisdiction to submit a CBA request on their behalf. See the List of Health Department CRIS Users by Jurisdiction
  • Non-funded– organizations and community planning groups (CPGs) that provide HIV prevention services that receive funds from other sources or no funding can ask the health department in their jurisdiction to submit a CBA request on their behalf.
