I am ShaunQuez Ketton, an Iowan born and raised, and currently serve as the Director of Events and Partnerships at Experience Waterloo, my city’s local destination marketing organization. While I don’t work in the healthcare field, I’m involved in several local and statewide public health organizations and initiatives focused on reducing new HIV diagnoses and supporting retention for individuals of color living with HIV. I also owned and operated a local establishment where I hosted three highly successful public HIV testing events. For these efforts, I was named Waterloo’s Public Health Champion.
