Shawnte’ Spriggs, a proud Washington D.C. native and graduate of the historic and esteemed Paul Laurence Dunbar HS, has returned to the DMV after several impactful years in North Carolina, where she acknowledges, “D.C. raised me – but Carolina made me.” With 20 years in banking, she’s well-versed in the nuances of the corporate world. Her educational journey at Liberty University includes an M.A. in Executive Leadership, complementing her A.A. and B.A. in Psychology – Counseling & Coaching. Shawnte’ recently completed her second Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing & Advertising. She’s currently pursuing her Doctoral of Education in Community Care & Counseling, highlighting her commitment to personal growth and to her community.
Shawnte’ established Impel Coaching & Consulting LLC to support businesses and organizations accelerate their impact by elevating their training and development initiatives, amplifying their client experience, and by optimizing their systems to strategically expand their community reach. She also helps new and established coaches, consultants, and creatives leverage and package their expertise and experiences into services and programs for community impact. On December 1, 2020, reserved as World Aids Day (WAD), Shawnte’ released her book, Undetected – More Than a Status, revealing her candid journey as a cisgendered heterosexual woman living positively and purposefully with an HIV diagnosis. A valued pillar in the community, Shawnte’ demonstrates her advocacy and leadership through her partnerships with both local and national community-centric organizations. At the core of Shawnte’s essence are her unwavering faith, family, and relentless drive towards her future. She utilizes her experiences, story, and expertise to influence and inspire positive change in every space she occupies.
