• When visiting members of Congress, it is important to dress appropriately. We recommend that participants should dress in business attire (suits and jackets are preferred).
  • On the morning of September 6th, before taking to the Hill we will distribute official HIV Red Alert buttons and t-shirts. We request (but do not require) that all Action Day participants wear either this button or shirt throughout the day to easily identify themselves to their members of Congress and fellow Action Day participants.

If you choose to post your experience on Facebook and Twitter we ask that you direct your messages to @NMACCommunity and use the hashtag #HIVRedAlert Throughout the day, these photos will be posted and retweeted on NMAC’s social media channels and shared by NMAC staff and fellow Action Day participants. Now’s your chance to be seen and heard!

We require all participants of Action Day to meet at the offices of NASTAD to pick up supplemental leave-behinds, ask any questions they might have, and engage in a refresher training with Action Day organizers. For complete map, transportation, navigation, and parking information please visit the Maps & Transportation Page.

All participants will be provided with the room number of their member of Congress upon arrival at NASTAD when picking up their briefing packets.
