Tapakorn Prasertsith (pronouns: they/them/theirs) is a non-binary, Thai person raised in both Los Angeles, CA and El Paso, TX. After studying Computer Science at the University of California, San Diego, they moved to San Francisco, CA and immediately faced the divide between the city’s booming tech culture and the growing homeless population. They were offered a position at Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center (now San Francisco Community Health Center) to start their PrEP program and was awarded the 2017 NMAC Youth Initiative scholarship for their work in HIV Prevention, focused on people of color and trans populations.
