Legislative and Public Affiars Division

NMAC's Legislative and Public Affairs (LPA) Division heads the agency's advocacy efforts, promoting sound national healthcare policy with a distinct focus on issues related to HIV/AIDS, access to care and social justice as they impact communities of color. To achieve its goals, the Division relies on public policy development and advocacy, grassroots education, and community mobilization.

Current HIV/AIDS Topics on Capitol Hill

NMAC's Legislative and Public Affairs (LPA) Division wants to make sure that our constituents are up to date on the latest activities in Congress and around Washington, DC that affect HIV/AIDS programs, funding, and the broader movement. To accomplish this, we distribute "NMAC on the Hill," a bi-monthly e-newsletter that includes regular updates on legislation, meetings and other happenings in the nation's capital to keep you informed on what matters to our community.
