Director of Development

About the job:    

The National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC) an experienced and driven Director of Development to steer our fundraising efforts and strategy. With the primary responsibility for building and driving NMAC’s comprehensive development strategy, the Director of Development will work to increase NMAC’s visibility and financial sustainability through foundation and corporate grants, events, and major gifts. Reporting directly to the Executive Director and working closely with the Deputy Executive Director, the Development Director will cultivate and manage relationships to meet the ambitious goals of building and growing NMAC’s mission and vision, including implementation of a two-year, $2.5 million capital campaign.

The ideal candidate is a creative and enthusiastic fundraiser with a track record of cultivating donor-centric relationships that have resulted in major gift donations. The ideal candidate displays an entrepreneurial spirit, is a self-starter who can manage multiple tasks, and is comfortable working in fast-paced, flexible environments. He or she will be deeply motivated by NMAC’s mission of Developing Leadership in Communities of Color to END the HIV/AIDS Epidemic.

Assistant Director of Development

About the job:

NMAC is seeking an outstanding Assistant Director of Development. The Assistant Director of Development will work with the Development Director, and NMAC counterparts in donor relations, stewardship, event planning, and prospect research. This position plays an integral role in identifying and qualifying individual major gift prospects, new foundation partners; and contributing to the overall work of the Development Division.

Further, the Assistant Director of Development works on grant writing, online donor solicitation, client relations and oversees aspects of communication pieces, and maintaining and updating databases and all Development Division reports.

Grants Writer & Proposal Manager

NMAC is seeking a dynamic Grants Writer and Proposal Manager. The Grants Writer and Proposal Manger is responsible for all aspects of raising support from foundations, corporations, and government sources requiring proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects.

The ideal candidate displays an entrepreneurial spirit, is a self-starter who can manage multiple tasks, and is comfortable working in fast-paced, flexible environments. Program Coordinator - CDC Project

About the job:    

This position works in the Division of Technical Assistance Training and Treatment. It  is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) activities in which NMAC provides to state health departments (HDs) and community planning groups (CPGs) funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  The successful candidate will assist in developing plans to increase organizational capacity and build sustainable organizational infrastructures that support the delivery of effective HIV prevention services and interventions.  The position manages assigned CBA for HDs and CPGs. This position includes up to 40% of business travel.
