Among the issues facing the next U.S. president are how to address global health challenges as well as the HIV/AIDS epidemic. As part of the Kaiser Family Foundation's continuing effort to provide information about the presidential candidates' positions on health care and health policy issues, the Foundation's election website, www.health08.org, has launched a new Issue Spotlight summarizing candidate statements and positions on global health and HIV/AIDS issues. This new health08.org Issue Spotlight presents brief synopses of the frontrunner candidates’ positions, a selection of quotes and links to additional resources. Find out more by visiting health08.org’s new Issue Spotlight page on Global Health and HIV/AIDS.For additional information and statistics on global health conditions including HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria, visit the Foundation's global health websites (www.GlobalHealthReporting.org and www.GlobalHealthFacts.org).
Also visit the health08.org side-by-side summary to see how the candidates' domestic health care proposals compare on health care coverage, cost containment, quality of care and financing.
