2008 Partnership Paper: Fighting HIV/AIDS in Communities of Color: An Action Plan for the Next President
This document is the result of
an historic partnership between 30 national HIV/AIDS organizations and leaders
representing communities of color across the United States,
its territories and Native American tribes.
It outlines the proposed priorities that should be taken into consideration by
the Democratic and Republican presidential nominees in addressing HIV/AIDS in
their administration - most notably in the development of a national HIV/AIDS
strategic plan.

The National People
of Color HIV/AIDS Working Group has continued to advance its mission through
conference calls, culminating in visits to Capitol Hill this past March 5-6,
2009. During these talks, they handed out the partnership paper and discussed
united points summarized
in this document.

The Minority AIDS Initiative: Meeting the Challenges in Communities of Color Nationwide
This
publication marks the first policy white paper produced through a
collaborative effort by the National Minority HIV/AIDS Policy
Partnership (NMAPP) and offers a holistic overview of the MAI, concluding with specific recommendations intended to meet the needs of our communities.
