National Black Clergy for the Elimination of HIV/AIDS Act

National Black Clergy for the Elimination of HIV/AIDS Action.

NMAC applauds Congressman Rangel (D-NY) and the clergy for their leadership in bringing forth the National Black Clergy for the Elimination of HIV/AIDS Act, formerly known as the National HIV/AIDS Elimination Act, which addresses the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the African American community.

Considering the increase in HIV/AIDS epidemic among African Americans in cities like Washington, DC, New York and Los Angeles, and in areas of the south, it is important for the faith organizations to take a leading position in helping to reduce the epidemic in our community.
