World AIDS Day 2010 Congressional Briefing

In commemoration of World AIDS Day on December 1, 2010, the National Minority AIDS Council and the Women of Color Leadership Institute sponsored a special briefing on "Identifying HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care Needs of Women of Color." The briefing, held in cooperation with Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA), the National Women's AIDS Collective and the Positive Women's Network, included discussion on gender-specific needs of women of color in HIV/AIDS prevention and care.

The discussion panel will featured several women of color who work in the field of HIV prevention and treatment to provide an overview of the current landscape and offer recommendations to better meet the needs of this under-served population.
